For each topic,
- find evidence from the text and note where it appears in the novel (which chapter)
- pick out quotations to explode/analyse
- try to learn some of these quotations
- Consider how it links to the context or to Stevenson’s purpose
You could make a mind map for each topic and tick each time you look back at this. Don’t just reread the mind map every time; try to recreate it from memory or explode the quotations again.
Try to include some timed essay writing in your revision. You can invent questions by choosing one short extract and using this structure: Explore how Stevenson presents [topic] in this extract and in the novel as a whole.
